We have two Brooks lines. William Brooks of Scituate, MA William Brooks, immigrant ancestor, came from England in 1635 on the ship "Blessing." He settled in Scituate, MA
William Brooks of Kittery, ME is not known to be related in any way to any of the serveral other Brooks families which arrived in New England prior to 1700. He was a shipwright. The date of his arrival in New England is not known, but he is listed as a landowner in Kittery in 1712 and was a member of the garrison during the Three Year War (1722).
